When I see any women walking down the street, avoiding all eye contact, I feel a deep sense of empathy. As men, we need to be asking ourselves, what kind of world makes this necessary? That millions of human beings, proven, beyond a doubt, by neuroscience, sociology, and anthropology, to be highly social creatures, have ample reason to intentionally avoid looking at us.
