I've never imagined that my BMW was too fast or too cool. Why should Apple try to make everyone happy? They don't need to make low-end laptops, everyone's doing it. They might need to make mid-range Macs, like you suggest, but as they are crushing the new microprocessors, what's the point of going backwards?
