It's true. The service industry cannot work from home. But for the lowly-workers being asked to zoom from their cubicles, it makes no sense. The executive-level staff has never had to be in cubes, they often work from where ever they like. I'm some where between the two, but when my company began the hybrid return to the office I began putting out resumes for "fully remote" positions. And in the hiring crisis the remote jobs were plentiful. So, some companies are making the transition as a competitive advantage.
