Thanks Pavle, you are right. She's a dysfuntional Spock for sure. And I've accepted a verbal offer last week, so next week I should be able to put in my 2-week notice.
Yes, the spyware on my corporate laptop is silly. In the privacy policies of the company, you can read that they can watch every single action you take on the laptop. They record everything. Um, okay. So, when I work from home I use my Mac. Works just fine.
It's true. The service industry cannot work from home. But for the lowly-workers being asked to zoom from their cubicles, it makes no sense. The executive-level staff has never had to be in cubes, they often work from where ever they like. I'm some where between the two, but when my company began the hybrid return to the office I began putting out resumes for "fully remote" positions. And in the hiring crisis the remote jobs were plentiful. So, some companies are making the transition as a competitive advantage.
See if you can get your hands on a Dell XPS 14" 2 in 1. It was amazing. The fit and finish was equal to any Apple product. Of course, it was running Windows, but the laptop w touchscreen was pretty cool.
How did you establish this attitude? I'm glad you've changed, but this old you is the one we're arguing with right now in our corporate vs. worker struggle.
